POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for organizing and implementing bilingual communication efforts on behalf of all divisions by coordinating communication with internal and external audiences using a wide variety of materials and channels in support of The Gallegos strategic plan and mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Creates and manages content marketing plans for each audience.
2. Monitors internet trends and e-marketing best practices.
3. Develops and implements creative marketing campaigns for social media posts, gathers/takes photos for posts, schedules posts, and responds to comments for all divisions; requires travel at times.
4. Implements new website projects and manages multiple existing websites, including writing copy updates and keeping content fresh.
5. Writes and manages email, app, and instant message communications for various target markets.
6. Creates newsletters, emails, presentations, and other communication pieces as assigned.
7. Writes press releases and distributes to local media to create coverage of announcements, events and programs.
8. Designs organizational apparel and event logos.
9. Keeps content across all mediums integrated, on brand, and up to date.
10. Attends events and programs on weekends or in the evenings at times.
11. Models The Gallegos Corporation values and mission.
12. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

1. High level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information.
2. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Well-organized and detail oriented.

EDUCATION

1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Arts, Business, or related field preferred AND/OR three (3) year related experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

1. Valid Colorado drivers license at time of hire.

COMPUTER/TYPING

1. Knowledge with MS Office suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Google Suite, project management software, BlueBeam, WordPress, Adobe Acrobat.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

1. Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
2. Spanish language is preferred.
