Job Description:

ASU-Beebe is seeking an adjunct Instructor of Health Information Technology.

ASU-Beebe, a two-year residential community college part of the Arkansas State University System, is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidate(s) interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in the following academic disciplines:

a. Health Information Technology

The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, surgical procedures, medical office procedures, and Microsoft Office Suite software; provide consistent, quality teaching. Courses may be taught on any of the ASU Beebe campuses, with night and Saturday classes possible, and could include face-to-face, zoom, internet assisted and online instruction. Instructors may be asked to teach up to (9) credit hours per semester. Required Qualifications:

Associates (or higher) degree in related field and at least two (2) years of related, non-teaching work experience; ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed; strong computer and technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience; RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCSP credentials; Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
