Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a Special Education Teacher for a middle school contract position in Burkburnett, TX . This assignment runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026 , with a 37.5-hour workweek . The role focuses on providing research-based instruction and individualized supports to students with disabilities, including some direct teaching responsibilities within a collaborative school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized, evidence-based instruction to middle school students with disabilities
Provide direct academic support and differentiated instruction as needed
Utilize research-based materials and instructional strategies
Collaborate with district-provided support staff and educational teams
Maintain compliance with special education regulations, documentation, and IEP requirements
Qualifications:
Active Texas Special Education teaching license
Experience working with middle school students in special education settings
Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional skills
