About the Role

We are opening a warehouse operation in the Northeast market. This will be a key facility in our distribution network, which has been growing significantly over the last 3-4 years. The Warehouse Manager will build, develop, and lead a team starting at 24 – 45 individuals (head count is expected to grow over the next couple of years) in an approx. 160,000 square foot facility. The Manager is responsible for maintaining a sharp and reliable pick, pack, and ship service to our customers across North America. This position is for a strong leader with a high comfort level with warehouse systems and procedures, a great work ethic, high expectations, and a high energy level with no tolerance for poor work performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the warehouse.
  • Significant focus on inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts per existing procedures.
  • Receive incoming material and store it accurately, following company procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and ship all orders daily, meeting key customer metrics/matrixes.
  • Responsible for information between WH and Forwarders.
  • Ensure planning of Inbound and Container list, Replenishment, Pick/Pack, Outbound and Shipments, Re-packing jobs, VAS, etc.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy in picking and robust methods of packing.
  • Ensure systems are updated according to progress on Orders, Re-pack and other tasks.
  • Responsible for Inventory and Stock counts.
  • Maintain a safe working environment with 100% compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, including 100% use of certified equipment operators with no exceptions.
  • Cross-train employees and provide a working environment conducive to high morale and productivity.
  • Meet or exceed monthly spending budgets and performance targets.
  • Support warehouse layout projects as needed.
  • Work with Customer Service personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Drive proactive Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Engagement improvements.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of warehouse management or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of warehouse-related experience is preferred; housewares and consumer product industry experience is a plus.
  • A college degree is preferred, but experience and attitude are more important.
  • Mature, responsible individual comfortable working for an out-of-state manager.
  • Excellent English skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to supervise, train, organize, and prioritize work assignments and activities.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, storage, and warehouse safety techniques.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • ERP knowledge is required. (Microsoft D365 preferred but not required)
  • ASN knowledge is preferred.
  • Motivated, self-starter.
  • Detail oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • Conflict Management.
  • Prioritize projects and meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Ability to meet set performance standards including, but not limited to, inventory accuracy and on-time delivery.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary and benefits: Depends on experience etc.
  • Schedule: Fulltime position Monday to Friday (flexible when needed)
  • Supplemental pay types: Potential bonus pay
