We are hiring a Warehouse Material Handler to support a high-volume manufacturing operation in Walker, MI. This is a full-time, contract role with steady hours and the potential to convert after 6–9 months based on performance and business needs. Candidates are needed ASAP .
In this role, you’ll support production by ensuring materials and components are delivered accurately and on time from the warehouse to the manufacturing floor. This position is ideal for candidates with prior material handling and forklift experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver components and materials to production lines to maintain continuous workflow
Electronically transfer materials from warehouse to production floor
Pull, kit, and stage materials using requisitions, order lists, or stock lists
Perform inventory tracking, cycle counts, and report material shortages
Transport completed orders to staging or distribution areas
Maintain organization and cleanliness in warehouse and production areas
Process returned materials and unscheduled issues
Follow all material handling, safety, and environmental procedures
Required Qualifications:
Prior material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
Forklift experience (certification required prior to operating onsite)
Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift
